Albania and Kosovo have signed 13 new agreements during today’s bilateral government meeting in Elbasan.
These agreements are focused mainly on the free circulation of citizens from both countries and the cultural and economic cooperation between the two.
List of signed agreements:
1 – Cooperation protocol between the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Albania and the Government of the Republic of Kosovo on the creation of a Coordinating Intergovernmental Secretariate – Signatories: Edi Rama and Albin Kurti
2 – Agreement on the implementation of mutual facilitation in regards to customs procedures and/or border controls on the entry/exit of goods – Signatories: Edi Rama and Albin Kurti
3 – Agreement on the implementation of the facilitation of procedures and requirements in obtaining a temporary residence permit – Signatories: Edi Rama and Albin Kurti
4 – Agreement on the rules of the border regime on local traffic- Signatories: Bledar Cuci and Xhelal Sveçla
5 – Amending agreement in regards to the Agreement between the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Albania and the Government of the Republic of Kosovo on opening a joint border crossing point in Shishtavec (Kukes) – Krusheve (Dragash), to be shared between the Republic of Albania and the Republic of Kosovo – Signatories: Bledar Cuci and Xhelal Sveçla
6 – Agreement on social security benefits between the Republic of Albania and the Republic of Kosovo – Signatories: Delina Ibrahimaj and Hekuran Murati
7 – Memorandum of collaboration amongst the Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy of the Republic of Albania and the Ministry of the Environment, Spatial Planning and Infrastructure of the Republic of Kosovo in regards to the construction of a railway Durres-Prishtina – Signatories: Belinda Balluku and Liburn Aliu
8 – Agreement of collaboration in the field of reciprocal recognition and unification of diplomas, certificates and scientific ranks released by higher education institutions and other authorized institutions – Signatories: Evis Kurti and Arberie Nagavci
9 – Agreement on mutual judicial assistance in regards to civil and commercial matters – Signatories: Ulsi Manja and Albulena Haxhiu
10 – A common annual cultural calendar Albania-Kosovo, for the year 2021-2022 – Signatories: Elva Margariti and Hajrulla Ceku
11 – Agreement of collaboration in the field of cultural heritage and museums – Signatories: Elva Margariti and Hajrulla Ceku
12 – Agreement of collaboration in the field of agriculture – Signatories: Frida Krifca and Faton Peci
13 – Agreement of collaboration between the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Republic of Albania and the Ministry of Finances, Work and Transfers at the Republic of Kosovo – Signatories: Ogerta Manastirliu and Hekuran Murati
